“It’s the way your future husband looks at you as you walk towards him ...

... while "YOUR SONG" is playing"

Melbourne Wedding Celebrant

As an Authorised Melbourne wedding celebrant I get to meet all kinds of people from various backgrounds. I am delighted when couples put their trust in me to write and deliver their personalised wedding ceremony. Getting married is a beautiful declaration and your wedding ceremony should reflect who you are, both as individuals and as a couple.

This is your day, so make it about you. Be true to yourself. Be the bride and groom you want to be. Make sure everything you choose is true to your style. Hire suppliers that you can trust so you can enjoy every moment of your wedding day. The most important thing people will see on the day, will be the look of happiness on your faces.

My couples know that they can depend on me – guaranteed. I have the ability to provide peace of mind. I will provide you with lots of ideas and samples for things you might like to include in your ceremony. You might like to share your love story and the proposal. Your guests will get such a buzz. Let’s inspire them. And when people get inspired, it’s a beautiful feeling. I usually have guests come up and chat after the wedding – and tell me about their wedding day memories.

I am organised and efficient and will absolutely go above and beyond so we can all have an awesome wedding day.  Nothing is too much trouble and I do get excited about my couples and their marriage.

People describe me as a professional eloquent speaker. I don’t just read from a script. The presentation and storytelling will be delivered with enthusiasm. I am often asked if I had training on public speaking. Well, no I haven’t, I think it’s a gift!

You have unlimited contact with me, I’m always available. Our first meeting is free. Your rehearsal is free – and I do tell my couples that it’s a good idea to have a rehearsal – because I want you to be totally satisfied and prepared for your wedding – no surprises.

I support you throughout the whole process. I accurately complete all the legal documentation. I order your wedding certificate, so that’s one less thing for you to do. I provide my own PA system and lectern. On the day of your wedding, I arrive about one hour early to make sure everything is ready for you. Just imagine how happy you will be when everything runs smoothly on your wedding day.

wedding legal steps

Step 1

Once you contact me I will arrange for us to meet. This is where we discuss the type of ceremony you want. A fee is not required at this initial meeting. You get a chance to meet me and decide if I am the right celebrant for you. I will give you a list of what you need to bring for our next meeting.

Step 2

Notice of Intended Marriage

This is the first legal document. To be completed, signed and lodged with me, one clear month prior to your wedding. This document is valid for a period of 18 months. I need to see original Birth Certificates and some photo ID (driver licence or passport).

Step 3

At this meeting we will start the process of your ceremony. I will explain how we prepare your ceremony and what we can include. I will be guided by you as to what you want. We can include wedding traditions, poetry, readings and more.

Step 4

I will prepare the first draft of your ceremony and email to you. Feel free to make any changes. You can call or email with any questions.

Step 5

Rehearsal

If you feel that you need a rehearsal, yes by all means we can do this. We can practice the Vows and the Ring Ceremony. With a rehearsal you will feel so relaxed and totally ready for your big day.

Step 6

On your wedding day I will arrive an hour early to make sure all is ready for you. The exciting moment is then waiting for the bride to walk in.
