About Me
Wedding & Event celebrant
The key to happiness…
I think the key to happiness is doing what we love. Something that inspires us. Motivates us. To find our purpose in life. I became a celebrant 14 years ago, thus finding my purpose. So public speaking (which is Fear No. 1) has always been my passion. I love my work and I do it without pretention or the need for praise or applause.
Therefore this is how I see it… it’s not about me.
I am there for my couples organising their wedding – and –
I am there for my families organising a funeral for their loved one
As I speak to your assembled family and friends, I see them nodding in agreement. It’s getting it right when I tell your love story on your Wedding Day. And having the uncanny knack of capturing the essence of the deceased at their Funeral.
So it is not always the academic resume that will impress, but the sound of a voice and the ability to project that voice.
People describe me as an eloquent speaker, a true professional with a calm presence. I am a Melbourne based Authorised marriage and funeral celebrant. I speak fluent Greek and have officiated at a number of English/Greek weddings and funerals.
I belong to two Celebrant Associations: Celebrants Australia Inc and The Association of Independent Funeral Professionals.
And I like to give something back – I volunteer for The Heart Foundation Victoria (offering entertaining speeches about heart health) and The Austin Hospital.
In the past I also took part at the Royal Childrens Hospital Good Friday Appeal. That’s where I did some Greek speaking on TV asking for donations. All excellent causes.
Oh, and I love dark chocolate.
Bess, thank you for the help you give to The Heart Foundation Victoria. All the best.
